Unzo Unzo

Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 16, 2026

The short version: Unzo runs entirely on your device. It has no servers, makes no network connections to do its job, and collects no personal data. No ads, no account, no analytics, no tracking. Your files never leave your phone.

This policy explains how Unzo (“the app”, “we”, “us”), published by Nixlight, handles your information. Unzo is an archive utility for iOS and Android. It was designed to be private by default, and this policy reflects that.

1. Information we collect

None. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or store any personal information. Unzo has no user accounts and no backend servers. We have no way to identify you and do not try to.

2. Your files

The archives and files you open or create are processed entirely on your device, inside the app’s private storage area provided by the operating system. They are never uploaded, copied to a server, or shared with us or any third party. When you save or share an extracted file, that action uses your device’s own system share/save controls and stays under your control.

3. Permissions and file access

Unzo accesses a file only when you explicitly choose it — by picking it through the system file picker, or by opening or sharing it to Unzo from another app. Unzo does not request broad storage permission and cannot browse or scan your device. Temporary working copies created during an operation live in the app’s private cache and are cleared automatically.

4. Analytics, advertising, and tracking

There are none. Unzo contains no third-party analytics, advertising, attribution, or tracking software. We do not use cookies or device identifiers, and we do not build profiles.

5. Network use

Unzo’s core features — extracting and compressing archives — work fully offline and make no network requests. The only time the network is involved is if you tap a link that opens this website or a support page in your browser; that is handled by your browser, not by Unzo.

6. Third-party services

Unzo does not integrate any third-party service that receives your data. The app includes open-source software components for reading and writing archive formats; these run locally on your device and do not transmit anything. Their licenses are listed inside the app under “Open-source licenses”.

7. Children’s privacy

Because Unzo collects no personal information from anyone, it is suitable for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect data from children or any other person.

8. Data security

Your data stays on your device, protected by the operating system’s app sandbox. Since nothing is transmitted or stored by us, there is no remote copy of your data to be exposed.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the updated version here with a new “last updated” date. Material changes will be reflected in an app update where appropriate.
